UX Research & HCI
User interviews, workflow analysis, usability testing, and information architecture design grounded in Human-Computer Interaction principles.
M.Sc. Media Informatics student at Saarland University with industry experience in ERP systems, banking software, and enterprise UX design. From Nepal 🇳🇵, now building things in Saarbrücken 🇩🇪.
I'm Dayaraj Dhungana, a UX designer and software engineer from Nepal, currently pursuing my M.Sc. in Media Informatics at Saarland University in Germany. My academic focus sits at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction, Interactive Systems, and human-centered AI.
Before moving to Germany, I spent years in Nepal's tech industry, designing UX for ERP platforms at Vidhypro Crafts, building frontend systems for banking and QR payment products at Bitskraft, and doing graphic design work at Damsole Technologies. Each role taught me something different: research and systems at Vidhypro, engineering discipline at Bitskraft, and visual communication at Damsole.
My bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Tribhuvan University came with a full scholarship and the highest academic performance in my department, something I'm quietly proud of. Now in Germany, I'm pushing further into HCI research, AR systems, and human-centered AI.
Human-centered design rooted in real research

I bridge the gap between user research and production ready interfaces. See my full work at drd.com.np.

Enterprise-grade product design, ERP systems, banking dashboards, reusable design systems. Pixel perfect Figma prototypes to Figma handoff.
Translating designs into working code, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React. I've shipped frontend for banking systems and enterprise web apps.
Moving from Kathmandu to Saarbrücken wasn't just a change of address, it reshaped how I think, design, and live.
M.Sc. Media Informatics. Researching HCI, AR, and human-centered AI in one of Germany's research focused universities.
Brötchen, strong coffee, Figma open. The contrast between Germany's calm precision and Nepal's chaotic energy still surprises me every day.
Won the BIC Hackathon 2022 with InfoNav, an AR based navigation system prototype.
Nepal, Germany, and moments in between. I shoot when something catches my eye, not a photographer, just someone who pays attention.
I've been part of several YouTube podcasts, talking about sports and more.
